F-14 Tomcat Pinball Machine For Sale

It’s fast. It’s furious. And it fights back. The F-14 Tomcat is a pinball machine designed by Steve Ritchie and released by Williams Electronics in 1987. It features an F-14 Tomcat theme and was advertised with the slogan “It’s fast. It’s furious. AND IT FIGHTS BACK!

This is the impressive slogan of the F14 Tomcat in 1987, which is in no way inferior to the fighter jet of the same name in terms of speed and action! The Tomcat was published during the Cold War and was one of countless provocations against the former Eastern bloc, led by the then Soviet Union. This was the first pinball machine with an Autosave feature that put the ball back into play if it got drained right at the start. The pinball machine features four flippers, multiple ramps, a four-ball Multiball mode, and three flashing, rotating red, blue, and white beacons on top of the backbox that depict a dogfight scene. Achieving a high score results in the playing of the Navy’s anthem, “Anchors Aweigh.”

Therefore, the player of the F14 Tomcat is not simply a pinball player—he is the Navy pilot HITMAN, with the mission to eliminate the Russian General Yagov and his air fleet. Both characters can also be found on the playing surface of the F14.

Although the pinball has a high-speed ball run, it is still possible for the player to achieve long play times. The F14 was one of the first pinball machines to master the Autosave. So he puts the ball back into play if it gets lost right at the beginning of the game. The Flipper also features a 4er Multiball, 4 Flipperfinger, various ramps, as well as 3 rotating and glowing lamps on top of the Flipper, which shows an air combat scene.

Features:

Flippers (4)

Pop bumper (1)

Ball kicker lanes (2)

Jagov kicker (kicks the ball towards flippers at high speed)

Multiball (4 balls)

Spinning target (1)

Vertical up kicker (1), Left outlane kicker

Three rotating beacon lights are on the top of the backbox. Has speech.

The ‘kill lane’ crosses the ‘line of death’ and it will end your turn unless you are ready with the left flipper.
