The Independence Day is an extraordinary action pinball machine from 1996 that promises entertainment and fun. Independence Day was manufactured by Sega Pinball. Features include a speech by Jeff Goldblum, Will Smith, and Bill Pullman, an LED alien attacker ship, an alien head, 3 flippers, and 3 ramps! This game has been upgraded with premium LEDs, rubber parts, and speaker lights. It is based on Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster of the same name with the actors Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith. The original voices of the two Hollywood stars can be heard during the game and accompany the player in the fight against the alien inversion. The Independence Day has a small edition of 1.500 pieces and is therefore extremely rare.
To stop the alien inversion you need as much ammunition as possible—pinball balls. The Multiball promises a remedy! Either the player locks the ball 3x in the alien monster in the middle of the field, or he uploads a computer virus by sinking the ball 5x in the hole on the right side of the field. Both variants start a multiball, which starts the air attack on the spaceship at the same time—very good to see in the dot matrix display.
The spaceship in the upper left ceiling is an original replica of the ship from the film, impressively supported by the original alien sounds from the Hollywood production. The pinball machine has three pinball fingers and three ramps, as well as three bumpers in the upper right playing surface.
The device shown in the pictures also has a colored display, which makes the many animations even more impressive. In addition, the device was converted to LEDs to upgrade the pinball machine. In this version—also due to the small number of pieces—there should be very few devices worldwide, which makes this pinball so special.
